Saving Money with Google
A great tip for saving money that I learned recently is when you make a purchase and see a place to put in a promo code, use Google search to find a promo code you can use.
Following that advice, I've saved several dollars with Go Daddy* promo codes.
Plus, I just saved $3.60 off my niece's birthday present. One of the videos posted on this site (or one that will be posted since I scheduled posts through the end of April so far, not counting spontaneous ones like this) said that when you see a box asking for a promo code, search for a promo code to put in that box. So when I saw a box for a promo code when ordering a personalized book from Identity Direct, I put "identity direct promo codes" in the Google search box and found a code that saved me $3.60.
Sometimes promo codes expire, but you can always try various codes to see which one works. The first promo code I found was supposed to be for free shipping and would've saved me $2.99. But it didn't work. That code was only for Easter merchandise.
But the second code I tried was specifically for the type of book I was ordering and gave me 20 % off! Which saved me $3.60! $0.61 more than the free shipping code would have saved me.
* Beware: I once lost about $10 using promo codes at Go Daddy, because the discount they already offered me was greater than the promo code offered. So when I entered the promo code, it raised the price! I deleted the order and restarted from scratch, but the price stayed the extra $10 higher. So I deleted a Domain Name to get the price back down, but I received one less Domain Name too. In retrospect, when I deleted the order, I should have logged out of my account and then logged back in before restarting from scratch. That probably would've saved me the extra $10 and allowed to receive that extra Domain Name.
Use Google to save money!
Free savings are free savings!
